The Niòbē concept

Niòbē was born from a genuine passion shared by Domenico and his sons Davide and Matteo. It is the result of years spent discovering and experiencing refined restaurants and establishments of excellence in every corner of the world, experiences that have inspired and guided us in the creation of this project.

Our passion for wine, cultivated over time and enriched by a private collection that we will make available to guests, is combined with the desire to offer cuisine that excites the senses in a contemporary setting.
We wanted to bring the innovative spirit and elegance of Milan’s modern venues and major international capitals to the heart of Lecco. Niòbē is not just a restaurant: it is an experience, where cuisine, wine, atmosphere, music, and garden come together to offer guests exclusive moments.

Niobe’s cuisine bears the signature of chef Franco Caffarra, a Michelin-starred chef. His philosophy combines technical rigor and creative sensitivity, transforming each dish into a story of taste and beauty. Carefully selected ingredients meet refined techniques and signature presentations, in a constant balance between tradition and innovation.

Behind the Niòbē project is a passionate team: us, Domenico, Davide, and Matteo, together with our executive chef Franco and the kitchen, dining room, and reception staff. We work with dedication to turn our vision into reality.

The project

On the Lecco lakefront, a modern villa has been transformed into a place designed to offer pleasure and beauty to those who live there, where architecture, taste, and hospitality come together in a unique experience.

The entrance welcomes guests with an edible garden illuminated by evocative evening lighting, leading to the elegant and refined outdoor terrace, inspired by classic residences overlooking the lake.

On the ground floor, Niòbē Garden is a bistro with a bar area where you can enjoy a business lunch at midday, an aperitif at sunset, or an informal evening with tapas, cocktails, and selected wines.

The upper floor houses the heart of the restaurant. Three rooms, characterized by warm, natural tones, create a refined and welcoming atmosphere. The main room is dedicated to Fine Dining “Niòbē al Lago,” where three tasting menus with wine pairings are offered every evening. Here, guests feel enveloped by the elegance of the room and invited to let their gaze wander towards the lake.

Next door is the “Sala Privé,” designed to accommodate up to 10 guests in complete privacy, ideal for corporate events or personal moments to be enjoyed in intimacy. Also on this level is the “Wine Room,” an exclusive setting with only six seats, surrounded by rare and precious bottles, where you can enjoy unique tasting experiences.

The experience is completed by the wine cellar, the beating heart of the project, and a team led by an experienced chef, supported by trained and attentive waiting staff.

The architectural concept behind Niòbē was designed by Flaviano Capriotti, one of Milan’s most internationally acclaimed architects for restaurants, hotels, and iconic spaces.

His signature style, characterized by soft lines, enveloping shapes, and a skillful use of light and materials, creates spaces that welcome guests with an experience of harmony, well-being, and a deep connection with the place.
